MHX is still a very new technology. Collaboration with Professor Saffa Riffat of the School of the Built Environment at Nottingham University has provided testing and modelling with promising results. A patent has been published, anticipating progression into a commercial product.

The aim is to produce kits that can be fitted, in new or existing buildings, between roof trusses or rafters (and possibly incorporated in SIPs panels), with sufficient heat exchange area to generously supply ventilation air and to help create a well insulated and airtight building.

Presently MHX is being fitted on a bespoke basis. We are in the process of arranging factory production. The further development and viability of a hybrid system using fans and passive ventilation is being considered.

Once factory production is underway the dream is that MHX could become the industry standard for building ventilation.
